Responsible: Maria do Sameiro Mesquita Gabriel

The opening of the office of the Paz Ferreira e Associados in Ponta Delgada, in October 2009 was an especially important moment in the life of the firm and a clear choice to build on the foundations of the work that we have already developed in the Azores. We intend to be involved in the modernization and centralization that is developing in the region.

The office in Ponta Delgada maintains the standards of our services, focusing in particular regional areas of law, financial law, administrative law, corporate law, economic law, public procurement, tax law and employment law.

Fundamental to the project was Maria do Sameiro Mesquita Gabriel joining the firm with her enthusiasm, skill and experience.

She has a Law Degree from the Law Faculty of Lisbon University, and also completed with distinction a post-graduate specialization in Tax Law at the Institute of Economic, Financial and Tax Law at the same University in 2010. During this time she participated in numerous training sessions, seminars and conferences.

With an outstanding resume, which includes advocacy, monitoring various training courses and holder of several positions in the public administration, as well as in the Court of Auditors for more than a decade, Maria do Sameiro Mesquita Gabriel combines an outstanding example of professional experience, especially relevant in areas of public procurement, taxation and financial law.
