The current firm was set up in 2005 by Eduardo Paz Ferreira, Sérgio do Cabo and Carlos Lobo, who have significant experience as independent lawyers and at the law firm of Sousa Franco, Paz Ferreira & Associados, of which they were founding partners. In 2006, the firm grew with the addition of two new partners, Luís Silva Morais and Mónica Velosa Ferreira.

The experience of its partners and associates was acquired through their practice in the most relevant areas of advocacy and legal counselling for business firms and corporations.
